RBB serves up vintage blues like a steamy plate of gumbo on a hot porch Saturday afternoon in Clarksville.

This collective of four talented musicians defies the ordinary, taking their uniquely swampy sound – a fusion of electric delta and rootsy Memphis Stax – to a whole new level.

Front-man Marv Gemmell and bass player Harris Christian were members of the original RBB when it formed in 2000. The Edmonton, Alberta-based band has seen a couple of configurations since then, releasing a self-titled CD in 2001 that was well received, both locally and internationally.

Since its current configuration in 2007, with Andy Nikiforuk on keyboards and Dan Rowe on percussion, the band finds itself with the rare and winning combination of talent and passion that culminates in an entirely cohesive groove – like pulling on a pair of old comfortable jeans.

RBB will keep you in the grips of its voodoo magic, from the first twang of Marv’s Gibson 335 to the last soulful note from Andy's keyboard.
